YK Li began his HAESL career in 1997 in the Component Repair team, where he quickly established himself as a reliable and highly skilled machinist. Over the years, he’s mastered evolving technologies from traditional machining to advanced repair processes and is always ready to learn. YK’s professional growth saw him take on greater responsibility, mentoring junior colleagues, troubleshooting complex component issues, and supporting critical projects that keep HAESL at the forefront of aviation maintenance.

Throughout his time in Component Repair, YK has contributed to a wide range of specialized Rolls-Royce aero engines, including RB211, Trent 700, Trent 800 and XWB. He played a valuable role when the team transitioned to CNC technology, demonstrating strong initiative and adaptability. His expertise in machining has made him a trusted resource for both his teammates and supervisors, and he is often sought out for advice on hand rework and machining

YK’s contribution doesn’t end at the workshop door. He’s a committed First Aid team member, has played a big part in building the HAESL volunteer team, and is a core member of GSCC, championing employee engagement. His passion for teamwork shines as a dragon boat coach, even representing Hong Kong SAR nin major competitions, proving his leadership inside and outside of work.
