KH Mak, affectionately known as “ 宇宙最強” (the Strongest in the Universe), perfectly embodies HAESL’s spirit of growth, innovation, and teamwork. Starting in 1989 as a Tradesman III with no prior maintenance experience, KH’s curiosity and dedication drove him to learn new skills after hours, contributing significantly to his team.
Joining the Fan Case team in 1997, KH is now one of only two employees remaining since HAESL’s founding. As an Engine Overhaul Engineer, his career truly reflects the “Grow With HAESL” philosophy, continually striving to be “Best for the World.”
(English) A self-taught problem solver, KH has introduced over 50 process improvements, boosting efficiency, reducing errors, and enhancing workplace safety. His invention of the RB211-524 lining tool cut a two-day manual task to six hours; later adaptations for the Trent 700 engine reduced an eight-hour task to less than two. Now in its third generation, this tool is essential daily.

KH’s expertise extends globally—he has supported over 80 on-wing engine jobs across 12 countries, including RB211-524, T700, and T800 models. In his early twenties, he responded to an urgent call and flew solo to Yunnan to personally guide technicians replacing worn linings—demonstrating his full commitment, professionalism, and alignment with HAESL values.
